Finally finished work today. A very disorganized and lousy work week it was, too. At least I got some extra cash.
It's going to be a quick week of relaxation before school starts.
My Commodore cassette drive is on its way. Hopefully it'll come in the next week.
Oh! Almost forgot to mention that I passed the THEA. Did pretty well in all three sections That relaxed me quite a bit. Now I'm not so worried.
I went back to the thrift store yesterday, and found the Commodore's power supply. I must have overlooked it in my excitement on Saturday.
It was a lot bigger than I imagined. Probably a couple of pounds, if not more. I soon discovered that I also need a coaxial adapter for it to work on our few-fangled TVs. I should be getting one of those today. Overall, I probably will invest a little over $20 bucks on this Commodore. I would say that's a decent deal.
Got a sweet new backpack yesterday. Nice and roomy, with a nifty headphone jack on the right shoulderstrap. You just plug in your mp3 player in one of the pockets, and it's miraculously wired to the strap for easy access. The two front pocket covers are fastened my magnets. One of the neatest backpacks I've had in a while. Hopefully long lasting. Sad that I have nothing to blog about except 20 year old computers and a cool backpack. I must not have much of a life during the summer.
It started as a normal Saturday. Me and my mom went to town to run errands. No biggie. My mom wanted to stop by the thrift store. Okay, why not? I immediately walked to the desolate corner called the electronics section, to see the latest arrivals to the technological mortuary. What I found stunned me
Yes. I found a near-perfect Commodore 64. It's lacking the power cord, but one has my name on it on ebay. As well as a Datassette drive, two cartridge games, and a vintage commodore magazine. I am in geek heaven. Or I will be as soon as I win my power cord.
And it only cost me $12.12!
