It was a long day yesterday. Not only did I pull off a ten hour day helping run a UIL meet, but I also watched UNT stomp Troy 90-64. Not a bad day, but a very tiring one.
I'm about to write two essays today. One for English and one for Economics. The Econ one should be simple, since it's just a one page bullshit session about a news article. I'm not too worried about the English, either.
I better get started, then. I just wanted to update real quick.
Sitting at the Jupiter House on this Sunday afternoon, watching the people go by and writing my English assignment.
I'm feeling pretty good today. I had a great time at the fair yesterday, and I just turned in what I thought was a pretty good exemplification essay. And to think that I wrote it just minutes after finding out what the hell and exemplification essay actually was!
My college classes are going very well. English is good, as you could probably guess, and Government is okay, too. Well, I think Government warrants a story.
We've got this teacher. We'll call her The Giff. The Giff is an older woman, late fifties, possibly, and she has quite a unique appearance. First off, it looks as if she hasn't left indoors in all of her life, as her skin is a very eerie white. She has two pairs of glasses on her person, one on top of her head and one on the tip of her nose, both with those stupid-looking necklaces on them. The air is her best friend, apparently, as she talks to it more than us.
Her appearance and mannerisms don't even begin to start to describe her insanity. The number one thing that stands out is her chronic misspelling of words, despite her DOCTORATE degree. Also, she always forgets to post our tests online, and her excuse is approving doctoral dissertations. We were supposed to take a test on Tuesday. It's Sunday. Still no test. I heart The Giff.
Anyway, other than that, things are going great. Our football team is undefeated in district play, and we have a darn good chance of going to the playoffs.
I'm probably gonna head home now. Don't want to miss...um...I guess I'll stay here a little while longer.
